Ingredients

  • 1.25 cup flour divided (can use whole wheat, all-purpose, or 1:1 gluten free flour)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup whole milk greek yogurt

For Everything Bagels

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp everything but the bagel seasoning

For Cinnamon Sugar Bagels

  • 1 tbsp melted butter cooled
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with a spill mat or spray with non-stick spray. (If using an air fryer preheat to 320 degrees F
  • In a large bowl or stand mixer add 1 cup + 2 tbsp of the flour and the baking powder and whisk it together.
  • Now, add in the Greek yogurt and work the dough until it's uniform. I usually start by using a spatula then get in there with my hands to make sure it gets all mixed.
  • Next, take the remaining 2 tbsp of flour and use it to cover a cutting board to create a work surface. Take your dough (which will be kind of sticky) and divide it into 4 sections. Take each section and roll the dough into a log shape, then connect each end, forming a circular bagel shape (simply pinch the ends together). Repeat with remaining dough.
  • To make everything bagelsLightly beat an egg and using a pastry brush paint the beaten egg onto the bagel. Then, place your bagel onto the prepared baking sheet and add everything but the bagel seasoning on top.
  • To make cinnamon sugar bagels first combine melted butter, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon in a medium sized bowl and mix together well.
  • Set aside then do the same thing as mentioned above, lightly beat an egg and using a pastry brush paint the beaten egg onto the bagel.
  • This time you're going to place your egg washed bagel face down into the bowl of cinnamon sugar giving it a little bit of a press so it sticks. Then, turn it right-side-up and place onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • How To Make Oven Baked Bagels Bake your bagels for 24 minutes.
  • How To Make Air Fryer BagelsBake your bagels for ~10 minutes.

Notes

For this recipe you'll need a greek yogurt, regular yogurt won't work as it's too thin of a consistency. I also recommend using a Greek yogurt with some fat in it VS fat free. The fat will give you a nice, chewy texture and also help you stay feeling full longer. You can try different flavors of greek yogurt for this 3 ingredient bagel recipe but I'd stay away from ones that say they have "fruit on the bottom" the fruit part tends to have extra moisture and your bagels may not turn out.
Keep these easy greek yogurt bagels on the counter for about 5-7 days, or you can store them in the freezer for 2-3 months.
