You guys know I’m a sucker for anything sweet. But, that doesn’t always mean choosing a cupcake or cookie to satisfy me. Yes, eating intuitively gives you the freedom to choose those things if you truly want them, but eating intuitively also means choosing foods that allow you to feel you best. And, honestly? If I were to choose a big ol’ cuppy cake each time I wanted something sweet I’d be sugar crashin’ all over the place. Instead, I usually pick something that is sweet but also nutritious, like Graceland Fruit dried fruit. They’re great to eat on their own or to use in a recipe, like this cranberry pistachio tuna salad!
Lately I’ve been loving their snack packs because they’re SO convenient. I stashed a few of them in my car, in my desk, in my purse, you name it, they’re there. You can’t always predict when you’ll get hungry for a snack since our bodies wants and desires change from day to day. That’s why I always like to be prepared on the front end. This helps me to avoid grabbing a donut when I’m out running errands if I’m just wanting a small boost of energy, which I know the donut would leave me feeling sluggish- meaning I won’t finish my errands! And, I don’t know about you but when I’ve got an errand list a mile long (totes usually the case) I’ve GOTTA get it done!
The little snack packs are also super versatile. I usually pair them with a source of protein for a snack. Some of my favorite combos are:
- Cranberry snack pack & a cheese stick
- Cranberry snack pack & dipping them in almond butter (Y.U.M.)
- Cranberry snack pack & a Greek yogurt
- Cranberry snack pack & a handful of nuts & popcorn
Really, the possibilities are endless.
They’re also super convenient to use for meals, too. I’ve been making pistachio cranberry tuna salad on REPEAT. It’s so good and is easily made into a single serving. This pistachio cranberry tuna salad literally takes two minutes to put together, but tastes like a gourmet lunch. Trust me, everyone will be jealous that you’re eating this!
I’ve been choosing the Graceland Fruit no added sugar cranberry snack pack for a few reasons. I find that these ones are totally sweet enough naturally, no need to add extra sugar. They also pair super well with savory items since they’re a little less sweet than the ones with sugar, making them the perfect choice for things like this tuna salad!
Give this tuna salad a try- I think you’ll have a new lunchtime go-to!!!
