I’m a chocolate lover through and through. There is literally no time of day that chocolate doesn’t sound good to me. Morning smoothie? Has chocolate. Morning oats? Has chocolate. Lunch time treat? A few squares of dark chocolate. Mid-Afternoon snack? Chocolate protein bar. Late night treat? A little chocolate ice cream. It may sound like overkill, but I could eat like this every day and be a happy gal. If you’re on the chocolate train with me (I ain’t ever getting off of it!) then you’ll DIE over this high protein chocolate cake batter dip!
This high protein chocolate cake batter dip literally has two ingredients. TWO! It seriously doesn’t get more simple than that. I whipped this stuff together (literally, whipped) in about two minutes.
This batter is best made a little in advance so it has time to firm up in the fridge a bit. I recommend making a big batch since it stores in the fridge pretty well. Plus there is the fact that it’ll probably be gone in like two seconds… it’s that good.
I used Simple Mills crunchy chocolate chip cookies for dipping which was AMAZING. These cookies are like a wholesome version of your favorite Chips- Ahoy cookies. Some other great ideas for dipping are:
- graham crackers
- pretzels
- apple slices
- banana chips
- a spoon…
Another great thing about this recipe? It’s totally customizable! Want it to be coconut chocolate dip? Add in some toasted coconut. Feelin’ a little bit of peanut butter swirl? Go for it! Or, crush a little candy cane in there for a festive holiday dip, YUM. That last one is a winner for sure.
And, honestly guys? This stuff could be used for a post-workout snack. It’s got 14g of protein per half cup! Amazing.
