In this blog post I’m going to share with you how to manifest food freedom and create the relationship with food you want!
When I say the word “manifestation” what do you think of? Do you think it’s bogus? Do you think it’s right there in line with fairies and pixie dust? To be honest, before I actually committed to giving it a go, I did!
What cause me to actually want to try out manifestation for myself you ask? Well…. social. friggin. media. It kept popping up in quotes on my Instagram feed and in captions, plus it seemed like Pinterest had word vomited the word “manifestation”. I felt like it was everywhere! And, nothing but good things were being said. So, I thought “What have I got to lose?” and dug a little deeper to give it a test drive.
During my test drive I committed to doing ALL of the things every blog post I read and every audible book I listened to told me to do. I got super clear on what I wanted in life, in my career, in my bank account (true life) etc. I got specific. I asked for it. I thought about it. And…. it came! Slowly, at first. For instance, I had a financial goal that I had been wanting to reach but seemed to be struggling to get there. So, I got specific. I mapped out exactly where the money would come from, what it would go towards, etc. The first day I did this I found 3 pennies on the bus. The second day I did this I found a dollar in my desk drawer. The third day I did this I found $10 in my wallet that I didn’t know I had. It slowly built.
I’ve used manifestation in other areas of my life, too, such as reducing stress and anxiety, achieving a new PRs for running, etc. Bottom line here: Manifestation WORKS. If you believe in it enough and ASK for it, it. will. happen. It’s the law of attraction. If you believe it, it will come.
Since becoming a woo-woo manifestation nerd I’ve been using this tactic with my clients. Their increased belief, determination, hope, and commitment has allowed them to CRUSH goals they never thought possible. One client is now enjoying REAL peanut butter without measuring it, another has stopped macro counting, and a third has stopped her night time binge eating routine. All because they’ve believed it could happen, allowed themselves to be open to it happening, and welcomes it when it happened. THAT is how to manifest food freedom.
Here are a few simple tips to get YOU to start manifesting the relationship with food you want, too.
- Write out exactly what you want. Get specific. What sorts of food rules will you no longer follow? What foods will you eat? What emotions will you feel?
- Make it a daily, conscious effort. Take what you wrote from step #1 and re-write it DAILY. Even multiple times a day! Continuously and consciously remind yourself of what you want.
- Believe in yourself. This one is TOUGH. You have to actually believe you can achieve this freedom. Talk it out with someone and work through any blocks you may have. Do you feel you’re not worthy? That you aren’t strong enough? Break down that walls that are keeping you from what you want.
- Keep an eye out for opportunities. The universe (yes, I just got super woo-woo) will present you with opportunities for your dream to happen in real life. Maybe you come across cookies in the break room, challenge yourself to eat one and enjoy it if you want! Maybe your dinner time is thrown off and you’re forced to adjust your eating schedule. Maybe your phone diet and you can’t log your food into My Fitness Pal. Keep your eye out for these opportunities and welcome them!
Now, what comes to mind when I say the word “manifestation”. I hope it’s a “HELL YES!” Give this pixie dust level technique a test drive for yourself. Then, come back to this post and leave a comment!
