I have known today’s guest for about a year now, and she has really impacted my life in monumental ways. Marisa is a mom of two young boys and considers herself a career mutt, working full-time in talent acquisition for a start-up and also as a certified life coach and an advanced reiki practitioner. She is here today to talk primarily about energy healing, and if you don’t know what that is, don’t worry, gorgeous – she is going to cover that, too!
Part of the intuitive eating journey is to stop thinking about food all of the time, right? That means that it’s important to connect with yourself and reflect so that it’s not all about the food. Marisa talks about this and also argues that our energy is not unlimited, so we need to take time to rest and refuel so that we don’t burn out. She also emphasizes the importance of feeling good and gives us ways to do that, such as making a daily gratitude list and meditating.
Marisa goes into some helpful detail about what reiki is and how it tends to make people who take part in it feel. She also tackles self-doubt and how to begin overcoming it. She closes by giving us a few actionable tips, reminding us to identify what we’re grateful for and to find room for joy and peace in our daily lives.
