What Is BLT Bagel?
Honestly, this ultimate BLT bagel sandwich is so simple. You take the classic BLT (bacon, lettuce, tomato) combo and put it on a bagel instead of bread. Which, if you stopped there would be great tasting. BUT, my Registered Dietitian self knows that wouldn’t keep me full. Why? There isn’t a great source of protein there. And I know protein helps to keep me full. Enter: The fried egg and special spread, 2 minute avocado lime crema!

What Type Of Bagel Should You Use?
You can really use any type of bagel for this sandwich. I like to use my 3 ingredient bagel recipe and make some everything bagels. They’re so easy to make and you can totally make them to fit your tastebuds liking. Personally, the more everything bagel seasoning the better!
What Is The Best Sandwich Lettuce?
The lettuce that you use for this BLT bagel sandwich is KEY. I mean, nothing is worse than biting into a sandwich that you’re expecting to have a nice, crisp crunch from the lettuce and having it be…. soggy, soft, etc. No bueno!
Personally, I am an iceberg kinda gal. I find that it gives it the best crunch. Plus, it’s usually the cheapest option. All about that!

- 1 bagel
- 2 slices bacon, cooked
- 2 slices of tomato
- 1 lettuce leaf
- 1 egg, fried
- 2 tbsp avocado lime crema (or mayo)
- First, slice your bagel and set aside.
- Cook your bacon on the stove, as well as fry an egg.
- Make a batch of 2 minute avocado lime crema (optional but highly encouraged!)
- Assemble sandwich as follows: layer bacon, lettuce, tomato, and egg on top of half of the bagel.
- Spread avocado lime cream on the remaining half of bagel and place on top.
- Dig in and enjoy!
